40 Officers Escort Jakarta Hajj Pilgrims

As many as 40 officers are prepared to escort hajj pilgrim candidates from Jakarta. Those officers will be divided in 13 flight batches in which each batch is escorted by three officers who consist of doctor, nurse, and sidekick officer.

Head of Education and Mental Spiritual Bureau, Budi Utomo, admitted about the limited amount of hajj officers who have to escort 455 hajj pilgrim candidates in a batch that mostly full of people whose age are 50 years above.
“Medical treatment is the most difficult, because the pilgrims’ age is mostly more than 50 years old,” he said.
1,795 Jakarta Hajj Pilgrim Candidates DepartedEven so, Utomo continued, until now there is no significant issue related to hajj pilgrim candidates’ health. However, 168 pilgrims had been treated in a clinic and two pilgrims referred to hospital for dialysis and prostatic hypertrophy diagnosis.
Based on reports from Education and Mental Spiritual Bureau’s SMS Centre until September 16, as many as 2,713 Jakarta hajj pilgrim candidates in six flight batches have been departed to the Holy Land.
“As many as 2,713 people have been departed. They spread in Mecca and Medina. We will continuously monitor their development. We hope them healthy and become hajj mabrur (accepted by Allah),” stated Utomo.
